Birthday Band & Music Experience

Turn your child’s birthday celebration into an exciting, interactive music experience where young participants can create, play, rehearse, and perform together.

The DC Programs Birthday Band & Music Experience introduces children to the energy and teamwork of making music as a group. Participants will explore instruments such as guitar, drums, and piano, take part in guided rhythm and music-making activities, and learn how different sounds work together to form a band.

Unlike a traditional birthday party activity, this experience gives each participant an opportunity to contribute to the music. Guests may play an instrument, explore percussion, participate in rhythm exercises, or support the group’s final presentation. Activities are structured according to the participants’ ages, experience levels, group size, and selected package.

The birthday child will be featured as the celebration’s lead music maker and receive a special spotlight during the experience. The party concludes with a collaborative band-style performance or musical presentation that can be shared with family and guests.

No previous music experience is required.

Instruments, activities, and performance elements may be adjusted based on the participants’ ages, the number of guests, venue space, available equipment, and the selected birthday package.

Optional Experience Add-Ons

Additional Child 

Add one participant beyond the number included in the selected package. Multiple additional-child add-ons may be purchased when approved by DC Programs.

Additional Instructor 

Add another instructor to provide more individualized support, improve the flow between instrument stations, and accommodate larger groups.

Additional 30 Minutes 

Extend the experience with additional instrument exploration, music games, group rehearsal, or performance preparation.

Recorded Performance Keepsake 

Receive a recorded keepsake featuring the birthday child and guests during their final music performance or collaborative activity.

Customized Birthday Song Activity 

Participants work with the instructor to create a personalized birthday song, chant, rhythm, or musical arrangement inspired by the birthday child.

Event Coverage — Custom Pricing

Add professional photo coverage, video coverage, or a combined event-coverage package to capture the musical activities, birthday highlights, and final performance.

Event-coverage pricing and deliverables are based on the selected coverage option, event length, location, and editing requirements. Parent or guardian media authorization is required before participating minors may be photographed or recorded.

Important Booking Information

A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must remain present throughout the experience. DC Programs provides structured music instruction and facilitated activities but does not provide childcare or general party supervision.

Venue rental, food, decorations, tables, chairs, cake service, and general party supplies are not included unless specifically listed in the selected package. Travel, parking, venue access, additional participants, extended time, extra instructors, and customized services may require additional fees.

The requested date is not officially confirmed until the required payment, signed service agreement, and applicable participant forms have been received.
